Doctor and professor of economics; co-founder of Beijing Hospitality Institute, China Tourism Academy (CTA) (also known as Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism); National Excellent Teacher, receiver of the State Council Special Allowance; hosted national social science projects; participated in the research and drafting of plans, strategies, laws and regulations of China’s national tourism development since 2008; received UNWTO Government Innovation Award twice and multiple awards and governmental prizes at ministerial level and above. Major study area: tourism concept, economy and policy; published 20+ books, textbooks and collected works, and 500+ papers and professional articles; working as President of CTA, member of China Economic and Social Council, consultant for People’s Government of Fujian province, Tibet Autonomous Region, Shanxi province, and Qinghai province, and Doctoral Supervisor at Henan University and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.

经济学博士、教授，中瑞酒店管理学院、中国旅游研究院、文化和旅游部数据中心主要创建者，全国优秀教师，享受国务院特殊津贴。多次主持国家社科重大、重点项目，参与2008年以来国家旅游业发展规划、政策和法律法规前期研究和文件起草工作，两次获得联合国世界旅游组织政府创新奖，多次获得部以上政府表彰和奖励。主要研究领域：旅游思想、旅游经济与旅游政策，出版专著、教材、文集20余部，发表论文和专业文章500余篇。现任中国旅游研究院（文化和旅游部数据中心）院长，中国经济社会理事会理事，福建省、西藏自治区、山西省、青海省人民政府顾问，河南大学、东北财经大学博士生导师。
